Our network upstream has advised that they still need complete the upgrade to a single leg of their fibre routes:
We are upgrading our Layer 1 capabilities between all on-net nodes, to enable 100G and 400G L1 backhaul options. This will have no impact on any transit or Layer 2 services. Routes will be upgraded in sequence, to ensure that route redundancy remains in effect at all times.

To reduce the chance of further incident we live migrated to alternative hardware, unfortunately the server didn't restore as expected so had to be rebooted briefly.

This was caused by a crash of the server hardware, we are continuing to monitor the situation.
